Pimpri: A shocking stray dog attack on a four-year-old girl has been reported from Mhetre Vasti in Pimpri-Chinchwad, sparking fear and anger among local residents. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the terrifying moments when a group of stray dogs surrounded and attacked the child.

According to information available, the incident took place on Sunday (August 9) afternoon when the four-year-old girl had gone outside her house to play in an open area.

A group of seven stray dogs was reportedly present in the area. The dogs suddenly surrounded the child and launched an attack. As the frightened girl tried to run away, two dogs reportedly pounced on her and bit her. Other dogs then joined the attack, leaving the child struggling to escape.

Hearing the girl’s screams, nearby residents immediately rushed to the spot. Acting quickly, the residents managed to drive the dogs away and rescue the child, preventing the situation from turning even more serious.

The girl sustained serious injuries in the attack and was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. She is currently undergoing treatment.

CCTV Footage Sparks Fear and Anger

The CCTV footage of the incident has reportedly gone viral on social media. The disturbing visuals have once again raised concerns over the increasing number of stray dogs in residential areas of Pimpri-Chinchwad.

Residents have expressed serious concern over the safety of children, senior citizens and pedestrians, particularly in areas where groups of stray dogs are frequently seen.

Following the incident, local residents have demanded that the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) take immediate and effective measures to control the stray dog menace.

Citizens have urged the civic administration to identify areas with a high concentration of stray dogs and take appropriate action to prevent similar attacks in the future.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns over stray dog management and public safety in Pimpri-Chinchwad, with residents demanding urgent intervention from the civic authorities.
