Mission PCMC:
With the announcement of the upcoming Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) elections, political momentum has intensified — and within just two days, over 415 BJP ticket aspirants have collected nomination forms from the party’s central office, indicating the overwhelming demand for candidature under the BJP’s iconic “Lotus” symbol.

The frenzy began after senior BJP leader and Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil conducted a strategic review meeting at Pimpri-Saudagar. Following the meeting, Patil instructed party workers and elected representatives that:

“All aspirants must collect official application forms from the party office, submit them for verification, and the city unit will forward them to the state leadership.”

Forms will be available only until Sunday, December 7, making the current days crucial for hopeful candidates.

🏛️ Party Office Witnesses Heavy Response

According to BJP Organization Secretary Moreswar Shedge, the party headquarters located at Morwadi-Pimpri has been witnessing continuous footfall since the distribution began on Friday.

Shedge stated:

“More than 415 applications have already been issued. Tomorrow is the final day, and those who have not collected forms yet must do so immediately.”

He further emphasised that BJP follows a structured selection process involving:

  • Application submission

  • Internal screening

  • Multiple-level party surveys

  • Final approval by central leadership

He added that all applications must be taken only through the official party system.

🎯 BJP’s Strategy: “Ab Ki Baar — 100 Paar”

BJP’s PCMC Unit President Shatrughan Kate expressed confidence in returning to power with a dominant mandate.

He said:

“For PCMC elections, the BJP has set the goal: ‘Ab Ki Baar — 100 Paar.’ With discipline, strong organisational structure, and development work led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, public trust has grown immensely.”

Kate confirmed that although PCMC has 128 seats, the number of aspirants is significantly higher — a reflection of BJP’s growing influence.

He further added that under the guidance of state BJP president Ravindra Chavan, the organisation is prepared to fight and win the upcoming election decisively.
