Preeti Pawar Dominates 54kg Final

The Indian boxer controlled the bout right from the opening round and secured a convincing 5-0 unanimous decision victory to claim the Commonwealth Games title.
Preeti dominated the first round, with all five judges awarding her 10-9, giving her a 5-0 lead on the scorecards.
She continued her aggressive approach in the second round and refused to allow Delgado any opportunity to make a comeback. The Canadian boxer was also handed a penalty point, further strengthening Preeti’s advantage.
At the end of two rounds, the judges had Preeti ahead 20-18, highlighting her dominance throughout the contest. She eventually sealed the bout with a comprehensive 5-0 victory and secured the gold medal for India.
Jasmine Lamboria Adds Another Gold
India’s golden run continued with Jasmine Lamboria, who also defeated her opponent in her respective weight category to secure another gold medal for the country.
With Preeti Pawar and Jasmine Lamboria both finishing at the top of the podium, the Indian boxing contingent has made a powerful statement at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
