Cow Protection is Not Child’s Play! : MLA Mahesh Landge
Indirectly targeted Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar : “We will not tolerate false cases against cow protectors!”

Cow protectors are safeguarding religion and working for the preservation of the sacred cow. If anyone tries to file false cases against them, we will not tolerate it under any circumstances. Protecting cows is not child’s play. Some people are wrongly presenting the image of cow protectors before the administration. They should once chase a vehicle transporting cattle for slaughter—then they will understand what cow protection truly means, asserted BJP MLA Mahesh Landge in a strong statement.
In Indapur, a ‘Rasta Roko’ (road blockade) agitation was held by the Sakal Hindu Samaj to demand the removal of encroachments at the fort and samadhi (memorial) of Veer Sardar Maloji Raje Bhosale. Addressing the gathering of Hindutva supporters at the event, MLA Landge indirectly criticised Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
Three days ago, representatives of the Qureshi community met Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. At that time, they allegedly misrepresented facts about cow protectors. Following this, Ajit Pawar reportedly instructed the police administration to “rein in cow protectors.” These statements were published in the media, leading to discontent among Hindutva organisations, groups, and activists. Cow protectors expressed disappointment that even in a government that claims to be pro-Hindutva, moves are being made to restrict them.
Meanwhile, in the Indapur protest, MLA Landge’s remark—“Cow protection is not child’s play…”—has once again indirectly brought two political heavyweights face-to-face on the issue of cow preservation and the rights of cow protectors.
Reaction:
“If a jihadi or someone from the Qureshi community comes and says, ‘Cow protectors are harming us,’ what is their problem? We have shut down illegal slaughterhouses in Junnar. We will protect the sacred cow. No one should talk about banning cow protectors. We will not tolerate cow slaughter, love jihad, land jihad, or religious conversions. The BJP-Mahayuti government is a Hindutva government. Cow protectors have no reason to fear.”
