While Nashik is battling biting winds, Niphad has recorded even lower temperatures at 8.5Ā°C, making it one of the coldest places in the district. Residents there are struggling with harsh winter conditions as the mercury continues to drop steadily.

Meteorologists said that the cold wave has intensified due to the increasing influence of cold northern winds, which are likely to continue for the next two days. This additional wind chill has resulted in discomfort even during the daytime, when temperatures usually rise slightly.
Earlier in the week, Nashik saw temperatures dip below 10Ā°C, bringing severe winter-like conditions. However, a slight rise in temperature had led many to believe the cold phase was ending. But with the return of strong winds, the chill has resurfaced more intensely.
