Padma Shri Girish Prabhune emphasized the importance of yoga, stating,
“Yoga enhances physical and mental well-being while increasing body flexibility. It helps in strengthening the immune system and is beneficial for lifestyle disorders such as diabetes. Meditation helps reduce mental stress, bringing calmness and clarity to the mind. Regular yoga practice prevents irritability, supports good health, and is highly effective in weight management.
The essence of yoga lies in establishing harmony between the mind, body, and soul. It also plays a crucial role in managing stress, anxiety, and depression, while enhancing emotional stability and mental clarity. Hence, yoga should be practiced daily.”
