DYPIMED’s “Utkarsh 2026” Creates a Vibrant Beginning for New MBA and MCA Students

Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Management and Entrepreneur Development (DYPIMED), Varale, Pune, successfully organized its Induction Programme 2026 – “Utkarsh 2026” for the newly admitted MBA and MCA students from 9th to 24th September 2026. The six-day programme offered students a comprehensive introduction to the institute, academic environment, faculty, placement opportunities, industry expectations, and campus life through a thoughtfully curated blend of academic, interactive, experiential, creative, and cultural activities.

The programme began with Registration, Saraswati Puja and Vidyapeeth Geet, followed by institute orientation. Dr. Ravi Chourasiya introduced the MBA students to the institute and its academic environment, while Dr. Ashwini Chavan, HoD – MCA, welcomed and oriented the MCA students. Dr. Meghana Bhilare, Director, DYPIMED, addressed the students and encouraged them to actively engage with the opportunities available throughout their academic journey.

A strong focus was placed on academic orientation, professional development and career preparedness. Ms. Kalyani Kulkarni conducted a session on positive habits, discipline, mindset and personal growth. Industry perspectives were shared by Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh, Director – Software Engineering, Amdocs, and Ms. Rati Choundawar, VP – People & Culture, who addressed key areas including team building, recruitment, employer branding, conflict management and learning and development. Dr. Sushil Kulkarni, T&P Officer, DYPIMED, provided students with insights into placement opportunities and career preparation. Academic sessions led by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Jha, Dr. Ashwini Chavan, Prof. Manoj Patil and Prof. Ajinkya Ban helped students understand the curriculum, syllabus and elective selection process.

The programme also fostered interaction and team spirit through faculty introductions, ice-breaking activities, outdoor team-building exercises led by Mr. Pravin Awate, and the “SPARK – Building Connections, Creating Memories” activity conducted by Ms. Srushti Jadhav, Mr. Yash Patel and Mr. Harshal Morkhade. A hands-on Ganpati Idol Making Workshop added a creative and collaborative dimension to the induction, encouraging students to participate, work together and express their creativity.

Entrepreneurship and leadership were highlighted through sessions by Mr. Sajin Sudhakaran, Director, SilverHorse India Pvt. Ltd., on developing an entrepreneurial mindset, and Mr. Jitendra Tanna, who shared practical insights on entrepreneurship, business leadership and professional life through “Journey Beyond Academics.” Mr. Rahul Nalawade, Motivational Speaker and Corporate Trainer, conducted “The CEO of Swarajya: Management Lessons from Shivaji Maharaj,” connecting the leadership, strategic thinking and administrative practices of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with contemporary management concepts.

The programme also addressed emerging professional concerns through “Hackers vs. Defenders: The Cybersecurity Battle,” conducted by Mr. Vinit Beri, Information and Cyber Security Consultant. The session created awareness about cyber threats, digital safety and responsible digital practices. Adding a cultural dimension to the programme, Mr. Shreyash Deshpande, Director and Cultural Head, conducted an engaging session on music, creativity and expression.

Overall, “Utkarsh 2026” provided a meaningful and engaging start to the MBA and MCA students’ journey at DYPIMED. By bringing together academic orientation, industry interaction, career guidance, leadership, entrepreneurship, teamwork, creativity, cybersecurity awareness and cultural learning, the programme created a vibrant platform for students to Connect, Learn, Participate and Grow, laying a strong foundation for their academic and professional journey.
