80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Federation, Varale Campus
Pune | Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Federation, Varale Campus, Pune, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great pride, enthusiasm, and patriotic spirit on 15th August 2026.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Shri. Vishnu Sitabai Natha Tamhane, Former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pune City Police, along with distinguished Guests of Honour Dr. Sushant V. Patil, President, DYPEF; Adv. Anuja Sushant Patil, Secretary, DYPEF; and Shri. Vidhyanand Mankar, Executive Director, DYPEF. The event was also attended by Dr. Suresh Mali, Director, DYPCOEI; Dr. Meghang Bhilare, Director, DYPIMED; HODs, faculty members, staff, and students.
The programme commenced with the spirit of national pride and remembrance of the countless sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The presence of distinguished guests added significance to the occasion, inspiring students and staff to uphold the values of freedom, unity, integrity, and responsibility towards the nation.
A particularly heartfelt moment of the celebration was the *tribute paid to the late Padma Shri Dr. D. Y. Patil Dada*, whose visionary contribution to education and society continues to inspire generations. The dignitaries paid their respects and remembered his remarkable legacy, values, and enduring contribution to the field of education.
The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing responsible, socially conscious, and patriotic citizens who will contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.
