Pimpri: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has approved a significant change to its official emblem, with the new design set to feature an equestrian image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj along with the civic body’s motto, “Katibaddha Janahitay”.

The proposal for the new official logo was approved by the Standing Committee, chaired by Abhishek Barne. The decision is being seen as an important step towards giving the municipal corporation’s official identity a new design reflecting the ideals of public welfare and administrative commitment.
According to the administrative resolution, the final design of the municipal corporation’s new mural or emblem has been approved. The design incorporates the equestrian image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, representing his vision and the principles of welfare-oriented governance.
The motto “Katibaddha Janahitay”, meaning a commitment to public welfare, will also form an important part of the new emblem. The civic body is expected to use the emblem as a symbol of its commitment towards public service and the welfare of citizens.
New Emblem to Be Displayed Across PCMC Buildings
Following approval of the final design, the new emblem will be displayed at prominent locations across the municipal corporation’s headquarters and various departmental buildings.
The emblem will be installed in appropriate sizes depending on the requirements of different locations. The administration has also approved the necessary process for implementing the decision and completing the remaining administrative formalities on priority.

The inclusion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s equestrian image and the “Katibaddha Janahitay” motto is expected to give the municipal corporation’s official identity a distinct character.
The new emblem will represent the civic body’s stated commitment to public welfare, governance and administrative responsibility, while also reflecting the historical and cultural values associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
