Pimpri Voter Verification Drive Begins June 30

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll will begin in Pimpri-Chinchwad from June 30, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) set to carry out a door-to-door verification campaign to ensure voter lists remain accurate, updated and error-free.

Ahead of the verification drive, training sessions were conducted for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and newly appointed Assistant Electoral Registration Officers at Acharya Atre Rangmandir in Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri. The programme focused on preparing officials for the large-scale verification exercise.

Officials were trained on filling enumeration forms, verifying required documents and following proper procedures during household visits. The initiative aims to eliminate discrepancies and improve the quality of electoral records.

According to election officials, the Bhosari Assembly constituency currently has 636,424 registered voters, while the voter mapping process has reached 58.66%. To implement the campaign, 483 Booth Level Officers and 48 supervisors have been deployed across the constituency.

The door-to-door verification drive will continue from June 30 to July 29, during which BLOs will visit every household, verify voter details and collect information required to update the electoral rolls.

Officials said enumeration forms will be filled during the visits and necessary corrections will be made wherever required to ensure the voter database remains accurate.

Electoral Registration Officer and Deputy Collector Sachin Patil said the campaign aims to maintain an updated and error-free electoral roll through direct household verification.

Meanwhile, Tahsildar and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Satish Thete appealed to residents to cooperate with BLOs and immediately report incorrect family mapping or any discrepancies found in the voter list so that necessary corrections can be made.
