PM Kisan e-KYC Glitches Leave Farmers Worried
Repeated server failures, biometric errors and ‘No Record Found’ messages are preventing hundreds of farmers from completing PM Kisan e-KYC ahead of the crucial June 30 deadline.
PM Kisan e-KYC Glitches Leave Farmers Worried
Hundreds of farmers in Maharashtra’s Baglan taluka are facing uncertainty over the next installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana as persistent technical issues continue to disrupt the mandatory e-KYC process ahead of the June 30 deadline.
The Central Government has made e-KYC compulsory for beneficiaries seeking to receive the next installment under the PM Kisan scheme. However, farmers claim that continuous technical failures on the PM Kisan mobile application and online portal have left many unable to complete the verification process.
Over the past several days, large numbers of farmers have been visiting Common Service Centres (CSCs) to complete e-KYC formalities. But recurring errors such as ‘No Record Found’, ‘Server Error’ and ‘Data Mismatch’ have reportedly stalled the process.

Several farmers have alleged that even after entering their Aadhaar details, the system fails to retrieve records. Others claim the application crashes repeatedly during face authentication and biometric verification, making successful completion of e-KYC nearly impossible.
The problem has hit elderly, illiterate and remote-area farmers particularly hard. Many have been forced to make repeated trips to CSC centres, spending time and money while leaving behind crucial farming activities. Despite multiple visits, several beneficiaries remain unable to complete the mandatory verification process.
The situation has triggered concerns among beneficiaries as the process of releasing the next PM Kisan installment is expected to begin soon. Farmers fear that pending e-KYC verification could result in delays or suspension of financial assistance under the scheme.
The government launched the special e-KYC drive to improve transparency, eliminate ineligible beneficiaries and ensure that only genuine and eligible farmers receive benefits. For this purpose, biometric authentication and face authentication facilities have been introduced.
However, farmers argue that repeated technical failures are undermining the objective of the initiative and creating unnecessary hardship for genuine beneficiaries.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. For small and marginal farmers, this support often plays a crucial role in managing agricultural expenses and household needs.
As the June 30 deadline approaches, farmers are demanding immediate intervention from authorities. They have urged the administration to increase server capacity, resolve technical issues and consider extending the deadline to prevent eligible beneficiaries from losing access to the scheme.
Farmer leader Sanjay Pawar warned that if eligible farmers are deprived of their installments due to technical failures, the responsibility will lie with the government and concerned agencies. He also demanded urgent corrective measures, warning of strong protests if the issues remain unresolved.
