Young Talent from PCMC Shines on International Stage

Pune/PCMC: Ten-year-old Dhruv Mardikar, a student of VIBGYOR High School, Balewadi, has brought pride to Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad by securing 3rd place in the International Spelling Bee Competition conducted by MaRRS Rediscover. The prestigious event was held on 26th April 2026 at GCC International School in Mumbai.

The achievement marks the culmination of multiple challenging rounds of evaluation designed to test various facets of English proficiency. Participants were assessed on spelling accuracy, synonyms and antonyms, parts of speech, phonemic script identification, and aural skills, making it one of the most comprehensive language competitions for young learners.

The event witnessed participation from students representing schools across India, making the competition highly competitive and prestigious. Dhruv’s outstanding performance at such a young age reflects his dedication, strong command over the English language, and consistent preparation.

A resident of Puneville, Punawale, PCMC, Dhruv has demonstrated that with discipline, focus, and determination, young minds can achieve excellence on national and international platforms.
